What is CVE-2026-27024?
CVE-2026-27024 is a denial of service flaw in pypdf. A crafted request triggers a code path that crashes or hangs the service, taking the product offline for legitimate users. Vendor description: pypdf is a free and open-source pure-python PDF library. Prior to 6.7.1, an attacker who uses this vulnerability can craft a PDF which leads to an infinite loop.

If you cannot patch immediately
Front the service with rate limiting and drop malformed packets at a load balancer or IPS. Patch to remove the underlying crash condition.
How to verify the fix worked
