Roborock S7 MaxV VibraRise sonic mop relies on a small linear actuator that vibrates the mop plate at 3,000 cycles per minute. When it stops vibrating, the path is short.

  1. Confirm the mop module is installed correctly. The plate should click in audibly. A loose plate will not vibrate because the contact pin does not seat against the actuator.
  2. Check the app setting. VibraRise must be turned on in the cleaning settings. Some recent firmware ships with it off for new pairings.
  3. Inspect the contact pin. The brass pin on the mop module mates with a brass receptacle on the robot underside. IPA + microfibre on both contacts. Oxidation here kills the actuator signal.
  4. Listen for the actuator click. With the robot upside down on a soft cloth and mop module installed, trigger a mop cycle in the app. You should hear a faint buzz from the actuator. No buzz = actuator is dead.
  5. Firmware OTA. Roborock has shipped multiple actuator-related fixes in 2025 and 2026. Force an OTA in the app.
