The actual fix, step by step

A non-spinning brush on the Dyson V11 is almost never the motor itself. It is one of: hair wrap on the bearing cap, snapped belt, dry bearing, blown fuse on the brush board, or a stripped drive gear. Triage in the order below, it sorts the cheap fixes before the expensive ones.
